Mary is a Principal at Community Solutions, where she serves as Director of the Brownsville Partnership. The Partnership works with agencies and organizations in Brownsville, Brooklyn to help residents and community leaders address employment, safety, and neighborhood conditions. Mary has over 15 years of leader development, project management, community engagement and public speaking experience. An Information Technology professional by training, Mary began her career as a communications officer in the United States Army. She honed her IT and leadership expertise in a variety of military units throughout the world including: South Korea, Okinawa, Japan, Iraq, and Kuwait. Among her significant positions, Mary served as the Senior Communications leader for multiple combat units while deployed in Iraq and is a proud Combat Veteran. She most recently served as a Senior IT Project and Program Manager for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development where she led the vast Information Technology initiatives, changing the way the Federal Housing Administration addressed many predatory lending practices. Mary earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the New York Institute of Technology, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Villanova University.
