The Northeast Neighborhood Sustainability Plan is a comprehensive plan for reimagining the physical environment in Northeast Hartford to improve health and create jobs. The plan lays out simple proposals that would make use of existing properties and resources to improve public safety, expand recreational facilities and create opportunities for new businesses. We partnered with Michael Singer Studio to create this practical plan to improve the Northeast Hartford community for its residents and the broader region.
A health impact assessment is a traditional policy tool that organizations use to evaluate the health risks of a proposed project. But what if the same tool could be used to evaluate the health benefits of good ideas? That's the approach our team has taken with Northeast Hartford's first ever health impact assessment, which evaluates the health benefits of the proposals found in the Northeast Neighborhood Sustainability Plan.
